Cursed Colt

About this time last year Colt managed to somehow burst his eardrum. Don't really know how that happened. He went to the docotor and found this out. Unfortunately part of ear drum rehab is staying clear of swimming. He loves swimming and was really really really upset about the propisition of not being able to swim for 3 months.

As you know from the last post the last dog died. So Philip and Jaime got two puppies from a family at church. Fantastic. They are pretty cute, but I'm still not impressed. They smell, and attract ticks.

Colt has a nasty rash. It's pretty yucky. So last night Philip took him to the doctor. While the doctor was questioning Colt the subject of dogs came up. Apparently Colt has mites acquired from the last mangy piece of fertilizer. The doctor's orders: cream and stay away from dogs.

Stinks for Colt. Two new puppies and he can't play with them.

What I Found

So a few months ago Philip arranged for us to get another dog after he ran the last worthless mutt over with his truck; on "accident." Yeah right. So we got a dog from the humane society.

The new dog was a little weird. It attracked ticks like Murphy's to an estate auction. One evening Philip picked off 78 ticks off the poor puppy. It wasn't playful. It'd walk from outside into Colt and I's room. Sometimes it would lay on the floor next to the couch. The dog was a bum. I asked God to deal with him harshly on doggy judgement day, seriously.

To make things worse it would walk inside to use the bathroom in Colt and I's room. I didn't like the dog too much and Colt hated cleaning up after it. It never really barked at anything either. Oh and somebody named it Peaches.

So this afternoon I walked into the room and the dog was laying under the bed, its ussual spot. I smelled urine and ploppies. So I went to shoo the dog away. Unfortunately its mouth was open and I spotted a white tounge.

"Hey dog, are you dead?"

Then I touched it and sure enough Peaches was out. There was weeping in the house today.

What has two thumbs and is not bothered by Peaches' death? This guy.

So after months of peeing in my room, battling worms, and fighting depresion b/c of having the sissiest name for a dog ever, Peaches the Dog gave up the ghost.

INTERNET!

WE got internet at the house!!! Major feat acomplished. I'll be back to blogging.

Unfortunately nothing brilliant has happened since the NOAA boat incident.

Spring Break is coming up next week. That means only 10 more weeks until I get to see the beautiful South Carolina (really 11).
Goals for the week off:
1. Nuuuli Lecture series
2. Clean room so Luke has a place to sleep
3. Bowl with teens
4. Fix truck (starters making noises)
5. Work on long irons
6. Catch fish worth posting
7. Work on sermon

Well it sounds like a great break. I'm sorry there's nothing better
